Climbing

Hey all. I just got back from spending 2 hours at the rock climbing gym. I'm really spent and I had a pretty good work out. Tommy's teaching me alot about bouldering. There's so much I have to learn, not to mention I need to build my muscles to be able to climb proficiently. I think I'm understanding the technique and I can see things in my head, but my body can't execute the move because I'm not strong enough yet; so it's just a matter of building strength. I completed an intermediate route (designated by colored tape next to the hold), so that made me feel pretty good after only 3.5 hours of experience. I'm really getting into it and would like to get alot better. I told Tommy that I wanted to be good enough at the sport so that we can go climbing when we go to Europe. That would be tha shit. Rock climbing is such an intensive sport, simply because it engages almost all of your muscles and you have to be a little imaginative with your route and how you're going to get there. It's all about planning ahead a few moves so that you don't get stuck in an awkward way...then you fall and bust your ass. Anyway, at least it's a great workout and gives me an excuse to get out of my damn apartment. I don't give a shit if people are looking at me and laughing, because I'm certain I look stupid at times.
K, gonna go do something else. Post later...peace...
