This is my brother.
His name is William Chance Higgins II
He is the greatest person I have ever known, aside from my father Dan.
When we were young, he looked up to me, on account of me being taller :)
and after our parents split up when I was twelve, him eight, he looked up to me even more.
I don't remember every minute of everyday growing up together, but I do remember the following...
1) We used to make a lot of home movies together involving our dog and adventures with GI JOE, some of those tapes still exist.
2)We fought a lot growing up, till the year we became good friends (when I was 17) and broke down the wall between our two rooms creating one BIGGER room to share. (great year)
3)As children when we lived in Toronto, I stood up for him once when a kid was gonna beat him up. (I was bigger)
4)When we were older (and him much bigger than I) he stood up for me when Daniel Arnold was going to beat me up.
(he was bigger)
5)I taught him how to play the guitar
6)He taught me how to talk to girls (which I still suck at)
7)When he lost his virginity, I was the one who gave him the condom to use.
8)When I lost mine, I wasn't prepared...so he gave me one.
9)I taught him about art and good music
10)He taught me about sports and... well... sports.
11)I gave him his first beer
12)He gave me my first pipe made out of a toy lobster he got at a class trip to st.andrews
13)Every night before bed we would both go to the kitchen and give our dad a hug and a kiss before bed. (seriously...18 and still giving your dad a hug and a kiss before bed)
14)He broke my skateboard when I was at a punk show in woodstock
15)He loved me, and I loved him.
He is the reason why I moved to Calgary, and he is easily the best friend I could ever have.
Aside from those 15 quick memories there are a thousand others.
1001) This one time when we were in our twenties we moved to calgary and got a house with some great people, he was really big on awful decorations and I would often laugh at his bad taste but accept it anyway.
this kid is awesome.
