The 'Hood
This morning was just awesome. We got up (too damn early) and eventually wandered out to meet K & her little guy A at the park. We got there & there were a bunch of mamas & babies that we knew. It was just so cool. I got to drink coffee & chat with mamas about summer plans, the local acting scene, who's going back to work, etc. C got to crawl in the sand & climb stairs & go down slides & see his li'l pals. I love living here. We can live most of our life in the stroller, walking everywhere we go. We can go to any one of a number of neighborhood parks, play places, kinder gyms, etc., and are almost guaranteed to meet up with mamas & kiddos that we know. I just never expected to feel this much like a part of a community in a city of 2 million people. Sometimes I feel like I live in a mama's freakin' dream land.
