Back home

Well, we’re back from the in-laws! It was a nice visit, even though we got back too late for me to go to the Gnostic Mass Sunday night, and I missed gasbarri’s visit. :(

C was great for the whole trip. My FIL is a retired Boeing engineer who is a carpenter at heart, and the IL’s house is filled with built-ins. C was all about the opening & closing of doors, cabinets, drawers, etc. And there wasn’t even any pinching of fingers - he’s getting to be a real pro! He is getting so big; it’s cool to see him playing with his cousins. My SIL has a 6 yo boy, a 3.5 yo boy, and a 20 mo girl, and they bring him toys & crawl around after him & try to play games with him, and he just laughs and has a great time. Gramma & Grampa had a fine time with him, too. He is so lucky to have 2 sets of grandparents that he gets to see on a regular basis.

I had a wee visit with the OTO folk last night, and got some more stuff to read. I have plenty to keep me busy now until they get back next month! My Minerval will be some time in May. I am feeling rusty on the ol’ energy work, but they said they would be able to give me some pointers on getting ready for the initiation when they get back. I think in the meantime I may just work on my grounding & centering, and start working with the LBRP. I haven’t ever incorporated it into any kind of regular practice, so maybe that’s a good place to start. Plus, I just got Duquette’s The Magick of Aleister Crowley. I’m hoping it will give me some insight into some of the rituals and practices of Thelema, not to mention Crowley’s writing, and it really seems to be delivering so far.

On a lighter note, I cut off a bunch of my hair today. It feels very swingy. Tomorrow I may dye it a fiery red. Yay for new hair!
