I am the queen of cake.
My parents are away this week. On Tuesday I used the opportunity of having a free kitchen to make a cake. But not just any cake, oh no: a psychadelic marble layer cake. And because I was that excited, I took photos.
The three colours of the cake mixture. SO MUCH food colouring went into those (well, the red and blue; the other is just normal colour :P) The coloured ones SERIOUSLY looked like the yummy-looking desert stuff from when they're all imagining food in Hook, which was actually a childhood dream come true as I always wanted to eat that.
The cake tins in the oven. I have never seen such shiny cake mixture!
Just out of the oven. Oooh excitement!
I was amazed when I turned them out onto the cooling racks just how bright the colours were. Mmmm.
All put together. Iced it in bright pink buttercream with silver balls and gummy diamonds.
I defy anyone not to think that's incredibly cool. Yay for marbling!
