Ok brain, you and me have had some differences lately. But if you carry on giving me dreams where I get to run around being awesome in Doctor Who and then snog the face off David Tennant then all will very much be forgiven. Mmmmm.

I would do a properly proper update but god only knows how long it's been since I last did one. In short: I did lots of training as a primary teacher, I am now almost a primary teacher, most of what stands in my way is an actual mountain of paperwork. Oh, and that small matter of actually finding a job. Small details :P I was supposed to have an interview at my placement school last week but out of the six candidates four of them found jobs before the interview, so it was called off the night before. It's been rescheduled and I'm still on the shortlist so I'll (hopefully) still have my interview in three weeks, but it's so annoying to have to wait all over again. I really wanted to just KNOW if I had that job or not by now so if not I could get on with finding others (which I'm having to look for anyway, but it would be good to know if I NEED to or not.) Doesn't help that there seem to be really few key stage 1 jobs coming out in a commutable distance from my house. I don't want to work in key stage 2, at least not straight away. Rarrr.

In happier but still money-related news, I'm going to try and earn an extra few quid by selling cupcakes at car boot sales and whatnot this summer, so hopefully might be able to keep at least a bit of my savings intact? I was supposed to have saved almost 4k by the end of this year, but the cars have decided to spend the last six months breaking every other week and most of that's been sucked up. They still aren't fixed; I can't drive my Clio because the power steering is broken and the Hyundai has started doing this thing where sometimes it starts and sometimes it doesn't. Hooray, further expense!

Something that's actually good is that my parent's neighbours' cat Ella had kittens a couple of week ago, and I get the feeling that my Mum is psyching herself up to get one. It's a bit awkward because our remaining cat Harry is a bastard and also afraid of kittens, but since Ernie died he's acted pretty weirdly, particularly when he's left alone. He likes being the center of attention, but he doesn't like being alone. I think if another cat was introduced properly then they'd probably rub along alright, like all our others have. They wouldn't be best of friend's because Harry's too much of a bastard for that, but I think it would be ok. So yay, potential kitten! It will do until I have a proper house instead of this ridiculously tiny flat and can have a mog of my own ;)

Now if you'll excuse me, I'm going to spend Sunday baking cakes and perving over David Tennant. DT, my love for you will never die <3
