I'm not a big fan of researching (unless it's on my own terms), but when what you're researching is Monty Python and the Holy Grail it really isn't quite so bad. If only because you occasionally get quotes scattered through books which are hilariously funny. Suddenly serious academic research is a lot more enjoyable.
This doesn't necessarily mean that my eventual essay will actually be any good, though :P
A Knight's Tale and Kingdom of Heaven to research after this. A Knight's Tale is fine, I love that film, but Kingdom of Heaven means understanding actual history.
Arg, which reminds me, I still haven't read the actual Tale of the Sangreal in the Malory edition of Arthur and the Round Table. I really ought to know the original story if I'm writing about a film that parodies it.
