I am still alive, everyone.

I haven't been updating this as I should, so I figured today is the day I write in my livejournal.

Everything is going pretty well. I've been playing a lot of music; Angry Ryan and the Nosebreakers just recorded 5 new songs that sound hard as fuck. EVERYONE should check us out and add us on myspace. ANGRY RYAN AND THE NOSEBREAKERS. We're playing with fucking MURPHY'S LAW in a month! I'm way stoked for that. Jimmy G is one of the funniest guys ever. We played last Thursday, and it was pretty good. It felt like we played for so long. An 11 song set- the longest set the band had ever played, even prior to my joining.

I came up with this crazy idea about a week and a half ago that I want to sing in a band. For a moment, I thought about the problems I have when it comes to writing lyrics.

1. I get writer's block after writing a verse or two.

2. I have trouble writing stuff that isn't extremely straight forward.

I then realized that I can use those weaknesses to my advantage. I'm starting a powerviolence band. It's called ABOUT FACE. I have a couple songs written: "Pacifist Warcry" - typical anti-war unity song, and "SexXxist Attitudes" - which is an attack on the people in the local straight edge scene who say girls can't be edge, and the general misogynist outlook of that scene.
I want to tackle issues involving the typical straight edge scene around our area, and the reasons why I no longer take part in that community.

I don't know when it's actually going to start up, but I've gotten in touch with a couple kids who I think would be interested.

Burge and I want to get Pageant of Snakes back together, but with some changes. We want to revert to the name VICTUS SILENTI, and have Alex on vocals instead of Brett, Jordan and me on dueling guitars, Ryan on bass, and David on drums. Alex and I approached David about it, but he didn't seem very interested. He didn't give a straight up "No", which I would have rather heard instead of an unsure answer. I think it would be tons of fun to at least record those songs, though.

Anyway, I'm out. Listen to ANGRY RYAN AND THE NOSEBREAKERS!!!
