The Wheel of Time Book 11: Knife of Dreams

so i read the last part of Jordan's book as if i was reading it by bits and pieces. Partly because of the way it was written or because my mum kept talking to me while i tried to read. The quickening of pace in this book is refreshing after Jordan made his readers wade through his last two books. Despite his wordiness, i still got to admit he's a master storyteller.

But there're some points in this book that stinks of a writer quickly cramping everything in to get the 'desired' outcome he wants rather than what the story wants.

1. Elayne jumping to catch the Black sisters based on the word of a theif. Even though (and i'm sure that's the reason he's trying to use) she's with child and she is very moody, it still doesn't make sense. She should have observed them a little more before taking any actions.

2. Tuon suddenly 'yells' out that Mat is her husband because he has fulfilled the three omens the damane has told her. I don't get the feeling that damane's opinion is highly respected. Even though the damane can do future-telling, Jordan hasn't paved enough backstories to make this announcement convincing, not to mention that Tuon doesn't really like Mat to begin with.

These two are key points in the story, and i'm amazed... just amazed and dumbfounded.
