I've never, in many years, found it so entertaining reading a history book. This book documents the rise of the people against oppressive governments throughout history. So far, i've read the Russian conflict, India's crisis (Gandhi vs Bristish) and now Poland's workers against the Soviet.
To summarise the book: unity of the people is the drive behind nonviolent means that would topple/cause the regime to change its way.
It's interesting reading how different class and occupation lead different ways to bring about a change. Of course, not everything is successful, but a small change in the nation is better than nothing.
Anyway, it's really interesting. Media is another main medium that keeps shining forth. Through media, people have ways to connect with one another, ways to communicate. Through media, the government has to give some leeway.
*can't wait to get back to the book*
