It's just the photos I find that are beautiful, they're so inspiring, you know? I find they've helped me write. Actually, yes, I did write that. Why do you ask? It is -I think - the second or perhaps third paragraph of on my my little -tiny- stories I've written this year. I've written two at the moment, I've only posted them at my journal though, and I'm planning on writing another one soon. :) They're all fiction, but I suppose they have a lot of myself in it; like these stories are my daydreams, expanded let's say. Photos really can be inspiring; even flipping through a fashion magazine or scanning through fashion editorials online. Your writing is beautiful! I love the imagery it invokes. I admire your writing style as well. :)
Really? I found reading Dorian Gray helped a lot, and right now I'm reading Lolita and gosh, the writing amazes me, it's so fantastic. I really love books that evokes a lot of imagery, writes about those small little actions that people do but don't know how to describe, seriously if the writing is good I can excuse everything else (the annoying characters, the shit plot etc.)
Sometimes when I see an interesting fashion editorial, I come up, in my head, with a background story - turn the models into characters and whatnot. ;)
I've been wanting to get my hands on a copy of Lolita. I'm going to see if my library has any copies available.

Me too! It impresses me beyond belief, the way authors describe everyday, ordinary things that I would normally never give a second thought to, so extraordinarily well.

I haven't really looked at any fashion editorials recently, but I was just about to go visit fashiongonerogue.com.
I admit Lolita is a very hard read, I'm struggling to read it although I still do adore nabokov's writing and descriptions.
