Also warning: Spoilers.
LOTAK (Land of Tombs and Krypton). It's kind of not fair, since you don't get to know all of the planets very intimately. LOTAK is featured very briefly in Act 6 Act 4's opening, along with all the other Alpha kids' planets. Big surprise, it's Dirk's.
It just seems cooler, I guess. The Beta kids' planets were neat, but otherwise just "okay, whatever", the Trolls' planets you know next to NOTHING about, and the Alpha kids' planets are in a 5-minute [S] flash. Choosing my favorite wasn't exactly an arduous procedure.
LOTAK is green, has buildings, and an atmosphere which presumably houses much Krypton. Dirk (and Jake, when present) have to wear these adorable little masks to keep themselves from dying, probably. Dirk's reminds me of a snifit, which is one of my favorite enemies from SMB2 anyway.
