They challenge each other in terms of brain/wit, they seem to have a really good partnership whenever they do work together, and because they share many similarities (eg; their obsession with 'kiddy' stuff despite trying to act 'cool'), Shota could relate to Deli a lot. Also because Shota's more on the 'justice' side even if he may use questionable methods sometimes there are some 'criminal' stuff that Delaine does that Shota goes =_= at and makes him try to be his voice of conscience…sometimes.

Basically, while they’re bickering a lot, they have good chemistry between each other and in a way, I think in their trying to prove that they’re better than the other, they’re also helping each other improve/mature at the same time? IDK.

SO TL;DR SHOTA LIKES HIS BFF IN A TOTALLY PLATONIC AND HETEROSEXUAL WAY AND AMS SHALL NOT RUIN THAT. even if that Love Calculator still says that Delaine will be Shota’s bitch and that other quiz thing Tantan said that Shota’s gay for Delaine
