I have not bit my nails in three weeks.  I used to be a compulsive nail biter, but I'm doing really well.

I have found myself, in weak moments, staring at my fingernails asking myself why I am doing this.

How on earth do people stand to have long nails?  It feels really awkward to me.  Honestly.
