My favorite ironic moment of the night (quite possibly of the year): Britney Spears being interviewed by Matt Lauer in a full hour special "Britney Spears: Speaking Out" edition of Dateline (must've been a slow news day), trying to defend that she's not a redneck -- and chewing gum with her mouth open. Then she sort of mocked the "Bible Belt" and went on to say, "It's just cruel when people stereotype." And, Britney, you would call what you just did . . .? Yeah, I thought so.

Favorite moment of the night: Seeing Karla's mom laugh hysterically for the first time (I've never seen her laugh so hard), and having it be at the fact that when asked how far along she is, Britney answered, "Oh, I dunno, 6, 7 months?" Umm . . . I don't believe that Ms. Spears is familiar with something I like to call "math." Didn't she just announce this pregnancy a month ago, when she was 3 or 4 months along? Oh man. But it was worth seeing Mom Stearns laugh and almost have to spit out the popcorn she was eating, hah.

Favorite quote of the night: When I dropped a piece of popcorn on the floor in Karla's room, I just bent over and picked it up and ate it anyway. Then I was like, "Wow, you know we're close when I eat food that's fallen on your floor." Is it vain that my favorite quote was one of mine? Hehe. :-P

PS -- Only in Orlando: I was driving home and was on the road that goes to my house when I looked in my rearview mirror and saw the fireworks from Disney, lol.

PPS -- I got a cute little notebook that I can use after church and youth group. I've been wanting to get one to take notes and jot down prayers and thoughts, and I finally got one. I'm really excited. Hopefully I'll stick with it, though, b/c I sometimes write for like 3 days in a row, then get tired of it, lol.
