Decided on impulse that since I had two extra tickets, I was going to call my brother's mom and see if they wanted to come. I don't care for her much, but I'd like to have my own brother at my graduation. They haven't called back though, so it looks like a no go. Ms. Wallach at Rosemont said she'd like tickets though, so perhaps I'll drop them off there if they don't call in the next ten minutes.
Rehearsal was dull. It was funny because I spotted basically everyone...Mo, front and left, Sug and Sam, back left, Tess, a row behind me, Solange, further front and right. But I was looking for Mel, and thinking, "Geez, I just don't see her. You'd think she'd be near her twin sister Mo, but then, my last name's Fram and I'm sitting by Chris Anderson and Jessie Sullivan." I finally spotted her when we all got up for the second time (the first time was to practice getting our diplomas, the second was to practice walking in), and I realized she was IN my row, only eight seats down. Brilliant. Her last name's Stone, by the way, so that just makes seating even more ridiculous than before.
Afterwards a group of us ended up at In n Out. It was good times, noodle salad. It was nice getting to talk to Tess; I haven't seen her as much this year.
I'm excited for Grad Nite. Space Mountain, baby!!!
Oh, also, it was funny because at rehearsal, when we were all lined up waiting to practice walking in, some guy yelled, "Hey Mary, is that a BEER BOTTLE OPENER??!" and the attendance office lady, who's usually kind of bitchy, interjected cheerfully, "Of course not! What would she be doing with a beer bottle opener?" I rolled my eyes, thinking she was just implying that girls don't drink beer, or something, until she continued with a grin, "She doesn't know what that is any more than I do!" It made me smile. Signs of life.
Okay, off to find some underwear, because while walking around in a skirt with no underwear as I am doing right now is very freeing, I am sooo not going commando to graduation.
