I'm laughing on the inside. Really.

I love all the comments I've seen on political journals that are telling all us Reds to just suck it up, don't be a baby! It amuses me. We should be more like them, because they've been so supportive of the republican President for the last 8 years, and I haven't heard them complain or whine once, right? Then again most "open-minded" liberal people, and I stress the word most, are only open-minded if you agree with them.

I am officially over it. Well, not really. I'm still disappointed, but you know what? That doesn't change anything. Obama won. Yeehaw! The fact that it is a historic moment is not lost on me, I think that is amazing. It just proves how awesome our country truly is and how far it has come. And even though I'm disappointed, I will not spend the next 4 years nitpicking and crying every time something doesn't go my way. I didn't do it with the last election that didn't go my way (surprisingly, when Gore lost) and I won't do it this time. I'm going to keep on going in my life, and pray for Obama and his family, and the rest of our government like I do everyday. I like, merlyn4401, just hope that he can do it now that he's done running for the next office and actually DO something that doesn't involve running a campaign and live up to his promises, and I also wonder how he'll handle it if he can't follow through.

God isn't surprised by the outcome, and He has a plan. I'm adopting the faith of a child. If not, I will go insane. I could give in to the thoughts that they're now talking about lay-offs at the steel plant where Tony works (that hasn't had a lay-off in over 30 years), just since last night and totally freak out. But I can't and won't.

Life goes on. As for today, I'm going to go get my nails done and then later go to church. Then tomorrow I'm going to a huge consignment sale (I'm so excited!) and then onto Christmas Village Arts and Crafts Show on Friday. Then Saturday I have a birthday party to attend, and Alabama plays LSU, and that could make or break their chances at a title. Can I get a roll tide? :)
