Oh, happy day

Just think... in a few days I will only have 2 little people and 1 grown man to clean up after. That's 2 less grown ups! I know I've griped about living with my parents before, but I don't think I've been specific in my griping. Well the time has come!!

My mother always leaves her clothes in the washing machine and EXPECTS me to get them out and hang them up or whatever. But if any of our clothes are in the washer when she goes to use it, she will call me away from whatever else I'm doing to get them out. Even if it's just things that need to be put in the dryer. Annoying. Also if I had clothes in the dryer and I'm not here, she'll put them on my bed instead of in the basket. That's lovely to come home to.

Generally I'm the last one to go to bed every night, but I'm usually either in my bedroom or in the office when my parents retire, yet they leave all the lights on, the tv on, and the cordless phone off the base. So before I go to bed, I have to go make sure everything is off and look for the stupid phone.

They do not know how to load the dishwasher. I can seriously get 3 times the amount of dishes in it than either of my parents can. And they will run it even if it's only half full. Stupid.

If the trash is ever full when my mother goes to put something in it, she will automatically go into a rant about how no one but her EVER takes the trash out.

On the other hand, my daddy doesn't quite make it to the trash can. His trash just ends up on the counter near the trash. And my mother gripes about it.

And Lord help you if you leave the bread box open! It's a mortal sin!

If I'm ever sick, the house must still be clean when my parents get home from work. No time off for me!

Okay, I think that's enough for now. I'm sure I've driven them just as crazy as they have me. :) But it will be nice to be able to clean my own house, after my little family, and do it WHEN and HOW I want to do it.

parents, gripes, house
