Wyatt was lounging in his room, watching a movie, class done for the day. He'd been in a fabulous mood ever since
Valentine's Day, and there was little he could think of that would ruin that mood.
That was about to
change.
After stopping at the weapons locker, Sam and Dean headed straight for Wyatt's room. Sam still felt a little sick, but he was trying to not to re-picture exactly what he'd seen, since that only seemed to make things worse.
"I really, really hope he's here," he said to Dean.
"If he's not, we'll track him down, don't worry," Dean said. He was doing his best to project calm since he could tell Sammy was close to freaking, the usual reaction to a vision.
Sam appreciated the calmness from Dean, even if it didn't help completely. "For once, I'm not all that worried about being believed."
"Yeah, that's the nice thing about Fandom. You don't have to spend a lot of time going, 'No, really.'"
Sam gave Dean a weak smile at that, and knocked on Wyatt's door.
Wyatt was lying on his side on his bed, watching a DVD of the latest Authurian legend movie. "Door's unlocked," he called out, figuring it was Chris or that Isabel had returned from her trip to the mainland.
Sam opened the door and peered inside, looking at Wyatt nervously. "Hey. We really need to talk to you."
"Sure, come on in," Wyatt said, sitting up. "What's up?"
"Sammy's had a vision," Dean said. "Isabel and Meg are in trouble."
That got Wyatt to his feet. "What? Where are they?" he said. "What's going on?"
"We don't know exactly where they are," Sam said. "But I saw them tied up. There were men with guns with them, threatening Meg--whatever this is, I don't think it's random. I think someone's going to try to go after Isabel."
"She and Meg went out with Michael today," Wyatt said, grabbing his cell phone. "Are you sure they were after Isabel and not Meg? Her family has money, don't they? Why would anyone go after Isabel?"
He'd heard the phrase "blood running cold" before, and now he pretty much knew what that felt like. "Unless they knew what she was," he finished grimly.
"They said something about healing, and that they'd been looking for her. They might have been talking to Meg, but..." Sam trailed off and watched Wyatt for a moment. "We already tried calling them. Neither one answered their cell phone."
Wyatt wasn't getting an answer on Isabel's cell, either. "Dammit," he said. "But she can't heal. What the hell is going on?" He was struggling not to flail with panic. "Did your vision give you any idea of when this was happening? Right now? Tomorrow?"
"Sometimes it's hours, sometimes it's a day," Sam said. "But if Isabel and Meg are together now..."
"Maybe they went to the movies and turned off their phones," Wyatt said, grasping at straws. But Michael showing up put a swift end to that hope.
Michael showed up in a great hurry, for some reason carrying a fish in a bag.
Wyatt was still reeling from what Sam had told him about the vision. "Where's Isabel?" he demanded of Michael, hoping he knew.
"Taken", Michael said grimly. "Meg, too. I only got away 'cause I was already in the car."
"What?" Wyatt said. "By who? Where? Where'd they take them?"
"I don't know. Any of it. Guys with syringes, they knocked them out, right in the mall parking lot."
"Fuck," Wyatt said under his breath, trying not to panic. Isabel was not going to end up in the situation Sam had seen. It just wasn't going to happen. "Okay. We need to find them. Fast."
"Wish I could help there. Can you do a spell or something?"
Right now Wyatt really really really envied his brother, since he'd already gotten a charge, and could sense where Savannah was because of it. Unfortunately, he couldn't do the same for Isabel. "Yeah," he said. There had to be something. "I need to talk to my brother." He grabbed his cell and made a quick call to Chris.
Chris orbed down to Wyatt's room when he got the message. There was something in Wyatt's tone that freaked him out.
"Dude, what's up?"
Wyatt sat down on his bed. "Somebody's grabbed Isabel," he said. "And Meg."
"Dude... where are they?" Chris asked, staring in disbelief. "What do we need to do to get them back?"
"I don't know, we have to find them," Wyatt said. His fists clenched in frustration. "If she was my charge I could sense her, but I can't. We need to find a spell or something to find out where these guys took her and Meg."
"We can scry," Chris said. "I have some maps in my room. Do you have anything that belongs to her or that she gave you that might help make it stronger?"
Wyatt nodded. "Yeah," he said, touching his hand to his throat and the sunburst pendant that rested there. "She gave me this."
"All right, let's go to my room and try it," Chris said.
"Okay," Wyatt said shakily. If anything happened to Isabel . . . he didn't want to think about it. He was glad Chris was there to help because he didn't think he could concentrate enough through his anxiety to scry properly.
The boys orbed down to Chris's room, where he promptly pulled out his atlas and spread it on the bed.
"Do you know where they were taken from?" he asked.
"They were shopping on the mainland," Wyatt said, pacing anxiously. "Michael said they were taken right in the mall parking lot."
"Okay, so we'll start with Virginia then," Chris said, flipping open to the correct page in the book.
He held his hand out for Wyatt's necklace.
Wyatt unhooked the necklace and handed it to Chris. "We need to find them fast," he said needlessly.
"I know, Wy," Chris said.
He held the necklace and his scrying crystal over the map. It spun in wide circles, but didn't slow down or touch the map.
After a few minutes, Chris frowned. "Okay, well, maybe they're in one of the surrounding states." He flipped a few pages until he found a general east coast map and then tried again.
His frown deepened when there were no results after another few minutes.
"Why isn't it working?" Wyatt demanded, looking over his brother's shoulder. "They can't have taken them far."
"I don't know," Chris said. "Do we know anything about the people who grabbed them? Is it possible they're in another dimension? Or maybe..." he hesitated for a moment. "If they're drugged or unconscious, I might not be able to scry for them."
"Michael said the guys had syringes and knocked them out with something," Wyatt said. "We can't find them until they wake up?"
"I don't know!" Chris said. "Maybe I should call Piper or Phoebe for advice."
"Yeah," Wyatt agreed. "Or maybe . . . our Piper."
Chris rubbed his temples. "Yeah, maybe."
"I'm not gonna lose her, Chris," Wyatt said. "I don't care what I have to do. I'm not going to lose her."
"I'm not going to let you."
"Thanks," Wyatt said quietly. "I'm glad I can count on you."
"Of course," Chris replied. "What's family for?"
