Room 226, early Saturday evening

Christian left the common room with Peter returning later so he didn't totally joss himself, checking out the doors lining the hall. "They all have numbers, like this used to be a hotel or something," he said, trying the doors. And what do you know, door 226 opened up. How convenient.

"They put me in a room with a girl," Peter said. He looked around. "At least if the clothes were anything to go by."

"Me too," Christian said, poking around the room. "Maybe they were trying to start brainwashing us or something to behave like normal people." Aha, mini fridge, and a cold 12 pack of beer. Score! He took one for himself and tossed another to Peter.

Peter caught it effortlessly. He cracked it open and took a few healthy swallows. "You'd think they'd be too worried about us trying to breed."

Christian opened his beer and licked the foam that bubbled up on the top very deliberately. "Guess it's okay if we do it with our properly assigned partners," he said. "And now with who we want."

"I've never been real big on them telling me what I can and can't do," Peter said.

"Me neither," Christian said. He winked and added, "Unless I'm getting great sex out of the deal."

Peter drank more of his beer. "I just like knowing there can still be a connection. In spite of everything."

"Makes you feel alive, doesn't it?" Christian said. "We all need that."

[repeterpetrelli]

"Reminds us of what we're fighting for," Peter said. "I take it you've been kept out of most of the danger so far?"

[blessed_twice]

Christian nodded. "I haven't made a secret of who I am, but I haven't gone out looking for trouble, either."

Peter nodded. "Gotta admit I stay invisible when I can. Fine line between helping people and hurting those I care about."

Like Niki, who'd probably be freaking out if she didn't know where he was.

"We shouldn't have to hide what we are," Christian said, finishing off his beer.

[repeterpetrelli]

"Or who," Peter said, by way of agreement. He finished off his beer and tossed the can into the trash. It landed in a perfect nothing-but-net fashion. "Don't tell anybody but I think I can fix this. I think that's why I'm here."

Christian grabbed two more beers and offered another to Peter. "What do you have in mind? And how can I help?"

Peter took the second beer feeling an almost magical transformation happen when he did. "It's better if I don't tell you. You'd only get hurt."

"You expect me to do nothing while people like us get hurt or killed?" Christian said. So what if he fainted at the sight of blood?
