On the Eve of New Year's Eve

Dec 30, 2016 22:20

Mike and I took a couple of walks out in the cold.  I bundled up too well and steamed my glasses up and had to pull my scarf down a bit.  Nice to get some fresh air and a tiny bit of sunshine!

Yesterday we finished a jigsaw puzzle that was really hard to get going on. I really didn't think it would be that hard when I bought it.  It has a border with a repeating pattern, and lots of similarities in the main design too -- every piece looked like it could belong almost anywhere! But we finished it in a group effort. It's a really nice picture called "Tapestry Cat" that's lovely and colorful, so since it was so much trouble to finish, I'm going to glue it together and hang it up.

Wait, may as well find you a picture:

I think I want it in my bedroom -- it's pretty informal, but it would make me happy and energized.
