Memories: 4/5 - 4/9

I haven't updated for a few days. Not that I haven't wanted to, I just stay pretty busy on Tech's days off.

So the memories I want to share from this "weekend" (which now runs Wed-Sat):

5th: We took the cats back to Uncle J.'s house. They complained the whole way home but once they saw where they were they were fine. They got out of their crates and walked around a bit. Lacy turned around and asked for a hug, like she was thanking me for taking such good care of her. That was sweet.

6th: Had dinner at the Spaghetti Factory, then drove to pick up some board games I got on Freecycle. Tech was a little moody but I didn't let it ruin my day. He has his reasons. :)

7th: Migraine. Played some Guild Wars with the guys later in the evening. They razzed me pretty bad for making a mistake that got us all killed. Sooo glad I'm in a Christian guild! It was a lot of fun and I'm learning to enjoy playing with groups and not being such a loner.

8th: Awesome day! We took our self-adopted-nephew Spencer to the aquarium. He is the most polite boy. He's eight and was just a delight to spend the day with. We let him choose where he wanted to eat lunch and he chose Subway. We got a parking ticket downtown Seattle, even though I paid to park there and did exactly what it said to do with the receipt. Bugger. Now I either have to go fight it in court or pay the $35. No way I'm paying it. And if I have to drive into downtown Seattle I'm going to make it more trouble than it's worth to them. *evil laugh* See, I discovered some interesting wording on the ticket where the officer purgered him or herself... *snickers* and I have witnesses - s/he doesn't. Anyway, we left downtown and took Spencer to Cold Stone for ice cream. He was pretty impressed with that. Then we headed back to his house where Tech and I took on the task of BABYSITTING! It was fun. I kept track of the two year old girl, Miranda, who apparently didn't cry for "maybe the 2nd time ever" when her mommy left. Keep in mind, I have seen this child only... three(?) times. But she did like me instantly. Good judge of character, she is. ;) We had a great night with the kids. Tech was all kinds of turned on by watching me take care of kids. He had never seen me do that before. You know, the whole changing diapers, putting babies to bed, fixing and serving dinner, etc. Good thing I don't have a uterus!

9th: Slept all day. Guess I wore myself out yesterday. I didn't mention that I had only slept two (disjointed) hours the night before.
