So folks, lemme catch you up on myself and my team and school and life and such, from a little more then three weeks ago, to today. Where do I start...
Lets see:
St. Anselm's Soccer finished the year 13-2, 11-2 in League Play. We tied Washington Internation School for the league title, after losing to them on Homecoming, last league game of the season. Talk about the most dissapointing thing ever. If anything, we should have tied for first, and had first seed in the playoffs, seeing that the Gazette called us "the team to beat" among the rest in the PVAC. Anyhow, we we're subsequently seeded second, and beat The Field School 3-1. Scott had two, I added one along with an assist, and Dorsey added an assist on my goal. Next we faced Sandy Spring Friends School, who we previously beat 3-2 at home, on our pitch, in front of many, in late September. This game happened on Thursday of last week. After 80 minutes of intense soccer, controlled mainly in the midfield, two 15 minute overtimes, the game went into PKs knotted at 0-0. We eventually lost 1-0, after going thru 5 pks tied at 3-3, and subsequently missing our sixth attempt while a SSFS player converted. I'd like to thank my fellow teammates for such a dedicated and intense year of soccer. We always had the talent, but never put it together. Coach Pascoe also added his knowledge into our lethal attack and staggering defense, one which allowed a mere 5 goals on the campaign. Peter Kezler and Dan Quasney played a large role in our succesful as goalkeepers. I don't have the total stats available after losing count/not caring. It was a team effort this year... BTW: talked to Mr. Murphy on Monday and he said we've scheduled Gonzaga and Wilson thus far for next year due to our success, and more to come. Lastly, manditory weight room sessions will be occuring once the upcoming seniors device a plan... we're gonna have to be extremely fit next year due to our up-and-coming demanding schedule.
School has been a bitch of late. Me being lazy/not-caring/had a good first advisory/too focused on soccer all tie into me probably having a C- in Chemistry right now. Otherwise, I'm passing everything with either an A or B, and I couldn't be happier about that.
That's it really, not too much to update about i guess. Varsity basketball starts Thursday, dreadfully... I was hoping to jump on a soccer team but that seems to be out of the picture at this point. Oh well.
Peace UP
