Fish! Choose Your Attitude- Play- Be There- Make Their Day

Today I had the opportunity to attend a once in a lifetime training courtesy of work (yet again). Harry Paul, the co-author of the Fish! series and motivational program came out to one of our community centers and conducted a training for our entire company. It was awesome! Motivating, simple, great overall. The basic principles are easy: Choose your attitude, play, be there, and make their day. This was developed based on The World Famous Pike's Place Fish Market in Seattle. The guys that work there have made fishmongering into one of, if not the best work environment in the world simply because they have fun at work. There was a lot of good content, stuff I'm going to flyer-ize and post all over my office on Monday. And all of the information is valid whether at work or at home. It's going to come in handy everywhere.

A not so cool note: I haven't had caffeine in over 6 weeks (awesome). I was up from 3am on, and was dragging around 11am so I had a few sips, and I mean 4 total, of coffee then a Diet Coke with lunch. By 2pm I was shaking uncontrollably. My hands, arms, legs... it was bad. I had to get up and leave the training for about 20 minutes and run some laps around the park to get the shaking to stop. I'd already taken some xanax and was freaking out that my body was acting like that. I didn't fully think out what would happen if I drank coffee like I did, but I know enough now not to, again. Tonight I've got to flush my system. I don't like the effects of caffeine. Funny since I was dependent on Starbucks for 4 years. I still get my daily drink, but it's tea lemondae which has no caffeine.

Aye. It's been a long day. I'm off tomorrow. YEAH!
