There always was a certain tone to LJ that hasn't been replaced by Facespace or anything else. Mostly, this has been a good thing to put aside for another day. But occasionally you get to consider whether to balance the introspection and morbid with other considerations of life, even if the fleeting flippant thoughts are more suited to FB (and the inane to Twitter)...
I need to get my butt moving on any number of things, but fundage has been eaten by other things. Not an excuse for not trying my damnedest though. Reality is mostly a case of dodging the torpedoes after all.
