Understanding Like A Machine

No one was in real danger, we were just killing time. Hanging on our every words, standing in the middle of yesterday. We were tripping on acid, and swimming in gin but no one could understand it. Screaming out our eager existence in silence; we remained. Your mouth, the metal. The salty kiss we wanted no longer. Leave it at the door. Leave me on the outside. Feeling for the things we thought we had. Step lightly, the illusions of love are fading. Twisted up in empty hearted dreams. We're jaded. Lock the door. Turn your blind eyes. We're viciously calling for precious touching. Rough sex, and empty promises. Made up of everyone else we are no one but beside ourselves with the growing factors of lies and shadows. Shady eyes and frowning smiles, we are composed of religion and lost minds. We don't think for ourselves, we just let someone else. Stop pretending we're going to some day be everything. We are the future that collapses in the distant horizon of tomorrow. We're too fucked up to understand that we're sinking this boat, that we were to high to remember the lifejackets. We are flailing arms and coughed cries. No one is listening. We understand like machines.
We are dying.
We are diminishing.
We are no longer.
I am alone.
