Does anyone know anything about Tucson? Anyone? Bueller? Apparently it's close to the town of Tombstone, and I have a slight mancrush on Val Kilmer as Doc Holiday in the movie Tombstone. So that's, you know, something. And I saw something about a combination zoo/museum/botanical garden thing. Which sounded like... something. To do?
Anyway, that's where we're going for the first 2 rounds of the women's NCAA basketball tournament. I was hoping for Chicago or Denver, but somewhere new is always good. And I've certainly never been to the fucking desert, so that'll be new.
Instead of writing 1000's of words about the couple of fun things that have happened in the past few months, I'll use
pictures.
In February my mom came up to see the Gators play some baseball. It was 40 degrees and drizzling rain all game, but we couldn't leave because the UF pitcher Bryan Augenstein had a no-hitter on. He ended up losing the no-hitter in the 8th, so then we left--and missed half the scoring in the game.
The next day Stef actually came to a couple innings of baseball before we had to go play at the women's basketball game. You can't exactly tell in the picture, but here she's trying to kill me with her mind for dragging her to baseball in the cold.
Did I mention I got a boat for Christmas? :-D
Well I did, and Friday Stef came home with me and I took her sailing.
I think she thought it was kind of cold. Maybe that's because I capsized us about 90 seconds in.
The day after taking her sailing and dumping her in (surprisingly not that cold) the water, I drug her again with the family to spring training baseball. It's a wonder she hasn't broken up with me yet.
The gang's all here.
