I'm not exactly thrilled about losing to Arkansas. The basketball team now has 4 SEC losses--the same number as last year. The good news is the SEC isn't nearly as dismal this year as originally thought, so there's not much shame in being the second best team in the conference behind Tennessee. Also, before the season any Gator fan would probably have gladly taken "almost as good as last year" as this team's regular season. Especially when these guys seem to have better NCAA chances. However, of our 4 games left, 3 are extremely losable. So... let's just stay the second best team in the SEC and make a run at a 3 seed. A 3 seed would be lovely, but at this point, a 4 will work. In a perfect world the forces of the universe will conspire to grant me a trip to Washington, D.C. to see the Sweet 16, but I'm not exactly holding my breath at this point.
Note: I at least partially blame J.R. our last two losses--S. Carolina because of his key-jangling at the Kentucky game and yesterday because he gave me the "why are you concerned about Arkansas?" question, which jinxed it just enough to lose in OT.
So Stef and I spent WAY too much on our 70's outfits for the game on Wednesday. We went to a costume shop on University yesterday and rented some pretty funky threads, if I say so myself. Anyway, I wanted the little hat thing, but Stef Brooke and Janet felt the 'fro was the way to go. Also, I feel tall in the shoes the lady gave me.
I know now that I will never do hard drugs, because between World of Warcraft (X-mas present from Sean) and Su-freakin-doku (introduced to me by Stef) I have no time left in my life for anything else, like actually graduating with a degree in something.
