AFI was AmAzing!
saw them yesterday.
it was uberly touch and go... drove the 6 hours to Tuscon and found out.. NO TICKETS!. we got their at 11am (left at 5am). all sold out. so we waited around near the bus. Mac got a brilliant idea to ask if they needed any help and it was no no we're good... a security guard came over and talked to us and he said he might be able to help us out for a price... get back to him when the doors open.... gave mac his cell number and his name.
We talked to Smith, he was cool. he did the whole checking his pockets "i might be able to help you guys out" thing.. and never came back haha.
We left and went shopping.. Anthony found this amazing pair of vynal pants and a lycraish shirt mmmmm... put them on hold. sadly never came back for them.
So we sat by the bus for like ever. Little girls kept hitting on Anthony and it was annoying me.
so yeah we;re standing there and Adam comes out.. and Anthony is like "Adam! oh my god" and goes bright red and it was funny....
later Adam came over to us and talked to us a little and signed our shit.. i got my Decemberunderground signed by him. i'll prove it via webcam soon...
Smith kept walking back and forth all day. and adam did a little... Hunter showed up and we talked to him a little.. no signage we didnt wanna bug him. he is funny.
so we waited there for 7 hours... our hopes dwindling as time passed.
Hunter came out again with a "disguise" which was one of those fake noses hooked to black glasses.. talking into a camera like he was some person who never heard of AFI. and we were laughing the whole time.. someone asked him over and he was all happy to take a picture with them. i was just like "Dude thats awesome" he came over and asked for a hard high five.. i gave one and he said i could do better so i did it better... then he high fived anthony too.
(rheanna got to go to the meet and greet and got all their signatures and pictures and stuff)
so yeah time for it to happen. Dave comes over and said he had the verdict for us... he could get us in for 50 dollars each by the door he was watching. he came and stamped our hands. we waited for a signal then went two by two inside... giving him our money on the way in
followed anthony to the front of the pit (he let us in when like maybe 50 people were in) and so basically i clung to anthony the whole time. i was third row for most of it then anthony got in the front so i was second.... omg amazing
i was on hunters side but i could see Davey for all of it.. and jade a little if i moved my head.... very very fucking amazing
i think Davey is going to surpass Scott Weiland as the best front man there is
