Movie Review: Dread (2009)

I had low hopes for this movie, yet I still ended up feeling disappointed. Yes, it was said to be a horror film and some would even say that it could be labeled as a Psychological-horror but, for me, you can just label it as boring.
When a movie is labeled as a horror film, you would at least expect to be, at the very least, shocked while watching but since this movie is so upfront about what the phobias/fears are, you don't even get that. There's no suspense since you can already see that Quaid is insane so it follows that he'd be the one doing something absolutely bat-shit crazy.
At some parts, you do see that you ARE watching a low-budget film. It just has that feel to it. The only reason that this movie isn't getting the lowest rating is because it was saved by the acting-but not enough for me to give it a 5.
I was hoping to be engaged but this movie had me going back to Twitter 1/4 in.
