Just then, several wizards in serious-looking robes entered the corridor from the other end, and began the long walk toward the offices where the two were standing and whispering. “Thanks for the offer, Malfoy. I’m sure you would keep my secrets. But right now, like I said, I don’t want to keep this particular secret a moment longer.” Harry reached for Draco’s neck and forcefully pulled him against him. He crashed their lips together at lightning speed and snogged Draco like it was his last moment to live. They stopped a minute later, breathless. Harry winced as if waiting for Draco to either hex him or punch the daylights out of him. Instead, Draco smirked a wide, triumphant smirk. “Interesting. And I thought it was just me.” When the group of wizards made their way past, more than a few chuckles were heard. The oldest one glanced at the uneasy pair on his way past and spoke over his shoulder. “ ’Bout time you fessed up, gentleman. The Occlumens pool was about to give up and split the galleons amongst us. Those who bet on Potter caving will certainly be richer tonight!” The group was laughing as they turned the corner. “They read our minds?” “They placed bets on us?” “How long have you fancied me?” “I could ask you the same…” “Dinner tonight?” “Certainly. We’ve some revenge to plan, after all. Then more snogging.” “Much more snogging.” They parted ways, both a bit dizzy and giddy at the events of the last ten minutes. Later, at dinner, two more howlers were purchased and sent out. One, an obnoxious thank-you to Ginny Weasley, and the other, an even more obnoxious bill demanding a cut of the profits to the Master Occlumens department.
