How do they define "sick" vs. "naturally skinny"? While I'm glad that they are taking the lead in eliminating the image that stick thin is perfection, I feel kind of bad for those models who just look like that naturally.

that's what i think, too.
we talked about it in Ethics and i was the only one seeing it that way...
yes, a lot of them aren't naturally that way, but just because we see them in magazines, it doesn't mean we are going to "become" anorexics; you have to be vulnerable to that already. a girl on the verge of anorexia will see a lot of things that will trigger that behavior. it's a complex situation and people are just saying "designers make the country bulimic! die!"

in my head,it was almost "no, not my little baby, the fashion world!"

ooh lenghty comment.

exactly, and plus, let's face it...some clothes/designers only look good with super skinny models! it's like an age old art form.

yes, yes!
ridiculous comparison, you wouldn't tell people to stop producing fine silk because it hurts the worms.

people shouldn't worry that much either; i don't a lot of girls/women who follow runway shows anyway, they read teenage magazines.
mostly they read about the trends that were inspired by designers, not about Vlada Roslyakova looking sick in some dress.
