Happy to oblige

* couldn't get up. I don't get SAD but my body does really hate getting out of bed before the sun is properly up. I stayed in bed until about 8.40 this morning. Joey seemed quite grumpy too although she cheered up when we left the house.
* listened to Joey reminisce. Yes, you can be wistful even when you're 3. She kept saying things beginning with "When I am a baby..." (we don't do tenses yet). My favourite was "When I am a baby, I fall down the stairs like a dolphin". What that means is anyone's guess.
* got complimented on my voice. I think. The people sitting opposite me said I had a soothing voice. I asked if they meant boring. They didn't reply.
* had a moment of clarity. Just for a second. I received about five emails in the space of a few minutes, all from different people, all on different subjects, all being extremely nice to me. I had a sudden feeling of extreme gratitude and luck for knowing some lovely people; then a feeling of inadequacy as I wondered if deserved these people; then a feeling of hunger so I went to lunch.
* applied for next OU course. Which should be a simple process, except I'd like not to have to pay for it because I'm poor. It's this. Fingers crossed.
* did my first ever phone interview. By which I mean I interviewed someone for the purpose of writing a piece about them. It was the very lovely Jason Cook for a profile that will hopefully be in The Skinny soon. I kept it really quick because he was shattered after a long train journey, and I was a bit put off by the whole telephone. i realised afterwards that the last person I ever interviewed for an article ended up dying about a year later (Uaneen Fitzsimmons, fact-checkers). I'm glad a didn't mention that to him, seeing how his current show is all about his terror of death, the poor lamb.
