what is a fic exchange?:
It means exactly what it says: exchanging a piece of fanfiction. Participants will get a chance to write a piece of fanfiction and receive one in return. So it is important to remember that if you choose to participate, you must be willing to write what is given to you, and be able to meet the deadline, this is only fair to the other members.
how to sign up:
FIRST you have to sign up if you wish to participate; do this by commenting on THIS SCREENED ENTRY (oh yes, this very one) with a short description of what you want and do not want to see in your fic and what you are not willing to write. Try to be a little flexible with it, remember; the person you get matched up with might not be able to meet what you wanted exactly
E.g.
Ichigo/Ishida OR Grimmjow/Ichigo OR Grimmjow
want: angst, ust, non-con, bloodplay (but nothing too over the top) OR genfic is fine too
do not want: mpreg, crack, AU
will not write: het
etc
Once the sign up has been concluded, everyone will recieve 1. the name of the person they will be writing for 2. their prompt 3. a deadline (this information will be relayed via the comment section of this screened post, so keep an eye out for it). The point of this screened post is so that no one will know who will be writing for them, so in essence, it's important not to reveal that information to anyone once you recieve your prompt.
writing & posting the fic:
This is the fun bit. Write your fic, and please try to meet the deadline you're given, I know that some people have less free time than others so extensions are fine so long as you ask for them.
Once you've written the fic, post it up to the bleachedblackk community (the way you would normally post a fic), but make sure you include the name of the person you have written it for !! And the words FIC EXCHANGE in your subject line.
deadlines & notes:
not everybody will be done on the same dates, but everyone will recieve a maximum of 4 weeks to write their fic and post it.
And as always, this is a DARKFIC community and yes it does apply to the FIC EXCHANGE too, I shouldn't have to keep reminding people by now. Refer to this entry if you are in doubt about what can be posted here.
The sign up will be closed on the 21st of April.
