weekend

I had an enjoyable weekend.

On Saturday, Adrienne and I went thrifting. We explored Last Chance, on Church Street, which is pretty similar to a giant Goodwill. Adrienne got some kickass boots, and I found a little VCR. I had to get cables to hook it to the TV, but it works, and it didn't eat The Nightmare Before Christmas. Success! I have copies of Monty Python and the Holy Grail, Life of Brian, Hedwig and the Angry Inch, and Velvet Goldmine as well. :3

After that, we hit Little Five Points. I enjoyed Rag-O-Rama, which has really nice shirts in the $10-$15 dollar range - on the medium-high end for a thrift store, but not as bad as most of the places in L5P. The cashier was telling a story about two big rednecks who came in and started trying on the ladies' shoes.

On Sunday we went to Atlantic Station and saw Wall-E. We waited nearly 20 minutes to get tickets - good thing we got there early.

Dear Jesus, was it worth it.

I could go on and on about the themes of loneliness, love, consumerism, discovery, redemption - but really, I don't want to tell you a single thing about this movie unless you've seen it. All I can say is that for an hour or two, Pixar had my heart in its hands, and they could so easily have crushed it.

Okay, enough updating and back to work.
