That's why you're here.
The gods have not taken you from your home, as perhaps you might first suspect. Rather, they have taken an imprint of your soul, and recreated you to live in this world.
Kannagara is a world made for you to learn many things, to achieve enlightenment as you face the task of figuring out how to walk the way of the gods, alone and with others. You will learn through forced proximity, through collective isolation, and through necessary cooperation -- but most of all, you will learn through dreams, as souls express themselves and reach out to each other through them.
As long as people don't truly understand each other, there can never be true peace. Mere men can never understand each other -- but people, bound by their common humanity, may someday achieve true understanding and enlightenment. Only through this wisdom will they find true and everlasting peace, with themselves, each other, and nature itself.
This is Kannagara, the path you must follow. Will you begin your journey?
Try not to get caught in the cross-fire, though. We hear there's a war going on between the gods.
PREMISE
Kannagara is a panfandom collaborative writing game set in the ancient, mystical realm of the Shinto gods, where dreams and gods collide. Your character will have the ability to not only experience the dreams of other characters, but can also experience their worlds. As the world of Kannagara is a fluidly changing microcosm, from time to time, it will slide between different panfandom worlds. One week, your character will be in Kannagara. The next, they might be in any other panfandom world.
Kannagara is a dimension that exists within the realm of the gods. The gods are unhappy with the state of humanity and have brought your character from any point within their canon into this world with the intent to teach your character a lesson about harmony. However, even the gods have a history of struggle with harmony -- wars have been fought, oppressions have occurred, and unjust actions have led to the fall and even deaths of some gods.
Your character will be arriving in a world caught between two opposing classes of deities: the ruling deities of the Celestial Plains, and the fallen gods and oni of Yomi. As your character struggles to understand why they have arrived in this world, they will find themselves caught -- and even torn -- between the two opposing forces that control the sacred space of Kannagara.
And when they dream, the world will dream with them.

Kannagara is looking for new players! With the completion of our beta run, we've entirely revamped the game and the world, and are now looking for strong writers who are interested in a community-based panfandom game that will have overarching elements of fantasy, mythology, and survival.
We don't have a Bleach cast yet, but we think it would be a very good canon for our game, especially since the themes would mesh very well!
The game will be restarting on January 31st and reserves are now open.
