In this AU, not everyone uses a wand to wield magic. Such things are more commonly known as magic-conductors, and they are used to help their wielders channel and enhance their magic. The wand is only one of the most common or widely-used form of a magic-conductor. This section will help you understand more of what this is about ^^
Like Bleach zanpakutous, magic-conductor forms can be changed according to how their wielders please. Everyone's magic can be used with conductors in different forms, such as a katana, a bow, a staff, bare-handed, an animal, a book, a frying pan? Heh, basically anything your character feels comfortable channelling his or her magic through. Feel free to be creative! But no using another human as a conductor D:
There are 3 levels of conductor forms -Basic, Risen and Divine, and you are free to develop it into whatever you like. But please consider feasibility, we don't want rooftops blowing off our buildings cos your character's Risen form is so huge it rips the ceiling XD
Also, where it threatens the safety of other students and or school property, magic is not to be performed indoors or outside of classes either. Meaning simple/harmless magic would be okay, like maybe a few small enchantments. (Raising the dead, no matter how easy it is to you, is NOT counted as simple magic)
Below is an overview of the 3 conductor forms:
Basic form~
This is the form that your conductor normally appears as, just like a regular zanpakutou that is not in Shikai form. It will just shimmer with a special magical aura that is your own personal signature as its wielder.
Risen form~
This is the first stage of change for a conductor. It is stronger and is able to conduct and amplify the powers you dish out. There may even be additional features you'd like to add to your weapon/conductor.
Divine form~
This form is the ultimate stage, where the full potential of both the wielder and the conductor is awakened and manifested as one, releasing an almost divine level and burst of strength and energy. This form also allows more room for grandeur and extravagance, as this is known as the Divine form after all. Even Bankais are big and cool and rip everything apart and all that stuff, heh.
[Important note: Due to obvious reasons, Divine forms are NOT to be released indoors >_>]
Usually, beginners just start out bare-handed. Then slowly they discover a suitable conductor and develop from there. And on average, students can typically develop their conductors at least up to the second stage upon graduation. All instructors will of course need to have acquired their Divine Form before qualifying to teach.
