[Have an Isane running by, clearly distressed and bleeding from a slight cut on her neck.]

[She didn't really think about what she was in and her eyes moved quickly to Isane. She stood up quickly and opened her mouth...]

Isane!!

[nervoushealer]

[She skids to a halt, eyes widening when she sees Unohana.] T-taichou! It...he...they were... [She's not terribly coherent, having clearly had a shock.]

[healersongbird]

[She settled her hands on her shoulders.]

Isane, please calm down. Take some deep breaths.

[nervoushealer]

[She tries to comply, but she's panting a bit from having run so far so quickly.]

Take your time.

[She begins to look over where she was bleeding from.]

[She reaches up, passing her hand over her neck to heal the cut, still pretty shaken. But as she calms down, she seems increasingly ashamed.]

I'm s-sorry, t-taichou.

I w-was going to help at the c-clinic and I d-didn't call Urahara-san when I want back because it w-wasn't very far...but Ichimaru-san f-found me. He w-wanted to know where M-Matsumoto-san was.

[She shook her head. A sign that everything was fine.]

What happened then?

Urahara-san c-came. He's f-fighting Ichimaru san, and h-he ordered me t-to run here.

[healersongbird]

[Urahara-san...How much was he risking himself?]

I see. What do you know of the others here?

[nervoushealer]

[She took a deep breath, trying to calm herself.]

Ukitake-taichou t-tried to buy the r-rest of us some time when Aizen c-came. Ichimaru went to him and...and he...

He killed Ukitake-taichou. He r-ran him through, and we tried and tried b-but we couldn't save him. [hot tears of frustration and shame are overflowing now] And then M-Matsumoto tried to kill herself, and Urahara-san only j-just managed to save her.

A-and then Urahara-san tried to go out after Ichimaru, even t-though he was exhausted from giving Ukitake-taichou so m-much reiatsu, so I h-had to drug him to s-stop him.

[She felt her body just freeze up at the thought of Ukitake's death. She turned and Isane's tears, letting her continue...She pressed her lips together and hugged Isane.]

You did all you could under that pressure. I am proud.

I...I hate n-not being able to help p-people. I hate p-putting people in danger. I hate...I hate b-being scared of w-what they're going to do to us.

Every healer goes through this. It is ironic that are given the power to heal but there are times when we can do nothing. You should not be ashamed when you did what you could and fear is natural. You were strong enough to put yourself through those situations...It isn't easy.

[She cries a bit more, but then calms down.]
