[well, well. he recognizes her though she doesn't seem quite so tall anymore, and smiles slightly.]

I wondered if you would still be here.

[She tilts her head slightly.] We've met before? I don't recall meeting any others but a young one... [She realizes that she hasn't seen him in a while.]

[nods, inclining his head in thanks for her kindness back then. Yes, it has been a while. He's much less demonstrative these days, but he's pleased that she understood so quickly.]

Many things have happened. [Rukia, the Hollow, the mask, Ichigo's bankai, the beginning of the Winter War... He wonders how many of those things his counterpart's version of Ichigo had to go through. And whether the other Zangetsu has been able to see her Ichigo lately.]

[She understands the gesture and gives him a small nod back, she had enjoyed spending time with his younger self, but things wouldn't be too different now that he had grown.]

Ah, yes, I can tell. What was the last thing that happened in your world? [She's not entirely certain of the timeline of her world, having been hibernating in Ichigo's mind, but it's close to when she was fighting Ulquiorra on the dome.

No, unfortunately (or, rather, fortunately, in Zangetsu's mind, considering what her master had been through before here) she hasn't seen her Ichigo in quite some time.]

[he pauses. what had Ichigo been doing? There was a blue-haired Hollow, and that attempt to rescue Inoue, and lots and lots of white sand, but there must be something the matter because his memories are never hazy like this.]

[frowns blankly] We fought Pantera, and.... then there was a voice. [this won't do at all. Losing part of his memory when Ichigo would be counting on him back in the outside world? Not good.]

[She nods.] I think that's close to the last thing I remember. A voice? Do you mean the Hollow?

[Looks around, again testing the mingled presences in the Nexus.] ..It is silent now. [doesn't mean he'll let his guard down, but he has a feeling that the absence of the voice is a very good thing.]

[She looks surprised at this.] Another voice? How did it find its way into our master's mind?...

[She glances around.] I'm thankful that it is silent, but there's a chance it could be here...

I don't know. [A piercing look.] Yet.

Yeah. [takes it as given that the other Zangetsu is just as stubborn as he is about this sort of thing.]

If you have heard nothing... [perhaps her Ichigo has been spared. or perhaps whatever-it-is can't get into the Nexus. or there could be all sorts of explanations, now that he thinks about it. still, he gives her a look, remembering how careful she was to guard all the Ichigos here when he first arrived; with two of them two grownup versions, anyway the task might be easier.]

..What was the last thing that happened in your world?

[She nods.] I have not heard anything out of the ordinary.

Unfortunately, the Hollow caused me to hibernate, so I'm not fully aware of what's been happening. I believe my master was about to enter a battle with an Espada.

[OOC: <3 Thanks! Yeah! Though, sadly I don't get to use it too very much. XD *nods* Yeah, that'd make it easier to track down! I'll keep my eyes out for anywhere else that might have the series. ^_^]

[Hmmm. He also went through a period of hibernation, especially before Ichigo got more control over his mask. The Hollow still won't tell him what happened that time. >/ He did get to fight in Hueco Mundo, though, even if Ichigo still hasn't taken the time to directly talk to him since attaining bankai.]

Pantera? Or the other one?

[why yes, he is more tolerant toward Grimmjow because of that bit where he saved Ichigo's life. Ulquiorra, on the other hand... well, too bad for Ulqui if they ever meet again.]

Your Ichigo is ahead of mine, then, and yet you did not hear that voice....

[breathes out: subject change get. enough about the voice; it's not here at the moment and there are more important things to think about, such as how many Ichigos were in the Nexus at the other Zangetsu's last count.]
