He's already worried enough that he'll look like a creepy-creepy-man-bug in the goggles, which he thinks will put a crimp in his "mackin' on the girls" activities.
Why he feels the need to "mack on the girls" while engaging in activities requiring red-light filters, eye protection, and pan-optical viewing is, well, something only understandable by the man himself.
