Non-Feather Boa

Jun 13, 2005 21:07

I got started making a boa of sorts from 2 strands of Patons "Cha Cha" (I forget what the color is called, but it's got hot pink, baby blue and some wispy pink and almost yellow) and 1 strand of hot pink Fun Fur. It's about 4 feet long now, about 6 stitches wide with an I hook, and dc'ed the entire way. I stopped by Michael's today to get some more so I could finish it up (so I can give it to a friend at the Gay Pride festival this weekend). I found the Cha Cha, but I got the wrong Fun Fur - it's too dark of a hot pink (it's techinally "raspberry") to work right. So I have to go back and get it exchanged and hope they have the right hot pink. How the heck many kinds of hot pink are there! Wait! Don't answer that! And of course, I found Cha Cha in a different combination so now I want to make another boa for another friend of mine. I think they might actually use them on stage, too. They're not feathery, and the floof isn't too terribly long, and because there's three strands there's enough weight to really move them about. I think I might use a larger hook on the next one, though, and make it a little narrower.
