Project Progress

Thank heavens for staff meetings. I'm only two and a half rows from being finished on a lilac baby-soft fingering-weight wool scarf. As the Squeeze says, "just in time for spring!" Yeah yeah yeah. It's still pretty and it's still very soft and fuzzy and nice to just snuggle up a little with. It's also the only thing that kept me awake and kept me from driving co-workers crazy during that meeting. *le sigh*

Maybe I can get it finished off today, though that'll pretty much assure a nap. And as I had a three-hour allergy-driven nap yesterday, I'm not sure if that's the direction I want to go. Perhaps if I have a movie on as well, and maybe even do some living-room walking to work out first, then I won't need so badly to sleep. I also keep promising myself I'll do the measuring on the silk skirt so then I can take it with me wherever and finish it.

I've gotten a bunch more done on the round cotton blanket too. I should measure the diameter just to see where I really am with it. It just about covers my lap with the edges touching the seat right now. I'd like the diameter to go from my neck to over my toes at least, so I've clearly got a ways to go. Right now it's still somewhat portable, if I take the actual project bag and not just stuff it into my backpack I take to work. Less bus-portable and more doctor's-office or visiting-family-on-weekends portable now.
