NKKC Fundraiser Info

Oct 29, 2006 19:53

I have been seriously remiss in updating info on the Naughty Knitting/Kinky Crochet fundraiser. I can only plead minor-but-ongoing health issues and some small degree of insanity. Not a very good excuse, just a small explanation.

There will still be a table at the Portland Leather Alliance's Vendor Fair. Which means we still need your donations! Check the NKKC website for ideas for suitable donations.

DONATION COLLECTION:
I will be happy to collect your donations at the Portland Wednesday Munch (McMenamin's Tavern and Pool at NW 23rd and Savier - I'm usually there 5-6:30, later if I know you're coming). I may also be able to come to you (in the Portland-ish area) on a Saturday or Sunday. If you're someone I know in person, you are welcome to arrange to drop them off at my house.
If you are from out of the area, please write me for mailing information.
If timing gets to be an issue, you can also drop off your donations at the Vendor Fair itself. If you choose this option, *please* drop the items off early so they'll have a chance to sell.

VENDOR FAIR:
Unfortunately, I will not be the person manning the table at the Vendor Fair. I will be out of town that weekend. However, I have had a couple of wonderful people volunteer to take care of things. I very much appreciate their offers and their efforts, and anything you can do to help them out is greatly appreciated.

Please label and price your donations. This will make life easier for the folks working the table. When deciding on a price for your items, consider the cost of the materials and the time it took you to make them. Then factor in the fact that most people still don't tend to fully appreciate the time and effort it takes to handmake things, and that this is all for charity - it has to sell to help the charity. I will likely be underpricing the items I put out to make sure they sell.
