Match or Fix?

I finished a fingerless glove a few days ago, using some really fancy yarn. I wrote up the pattern (such as it was) so I could make a mate for it. Now that I'm starting the second, I'm not sure whether to make a match, or go back and correct the mistakes I made in the first one. Mistakes that I didn't notice or didn't bother me until the first one was finished and everything was tied off and woven in. I suppose I could make the second one with the corrections, see what I've got left, and go back to redo the first one. I can't/shouldn't get more of the yarn - it was an unwise expensive impulse purchase to begin with, and I know I won't wear the gloves enough to really justify the additional purchase. When the glove is on, the mistakes don't show. Unfortunately, my attempt at having a design stitch in the middle of all the functional stitching doesn't show either. Grr.
