Cozies

Pictures of the cozies at last!

Dark fuzzy picture of the red chili pepper. (What is up with my photography lately?)  Debbie Bliss Cotton DK in red and Lion Brand Dishcloth Cotton in dark green. G hook in sc. The lid is a circle attached not quite half-way around the top. I still need to find and attach two buttons and button loops for closures.

Side view of the chili. It's about 8" long & 5" across at the top.

With friend. The reds just seemed to go together.

The carrot. Same as above - orange Debbie Bliss cotton, Lion Dishcloth green, G hook, sc, needs buttons & loops.

With friend. The friend matches the red one above exactly except for color. I love the idea of being able to color-coordinate my insertables to the room decor or partner or occasion.

The leaves came out pretty well. This one is also about 8" x 5".

This one was supposed to be a pickle, one of those big fat pickles you see in the enormous jars on deli counters. It most certainly does *not* look like a pickle. hmph. I thought I'd decreased at the top just the same way I'd increased at the bottom, but apparently my decreasing (the math part, 'cause I was totally winging all of this) needs work. A friend suggested that if I line it with a lighter color green fabric, it might look more like an avocado. One heck of a pit...  All dark green Lion Dishcloth, G hook and sc, also needs some kind of button/loop closure.

I got this in the raffle saturday night at Wicked Womyn. I was highly amused to hear more than one of my friends say, as I took possession, "Hey, more knitting!"  I'm thinking of making a cozy for it just for the challenge of doing the curves, as my work above shows I need the practice. However, I'll probably be donating the set or selling it in the fundraiser this year.
