Carrot Cozy Almost Done!
My roommate just announced that she's renewing her search for a place of her own. Fuck fuck fuck. Myriad reasons this sucks - won't go into it here. Suffice to say it's not just financial issues that have me concerned.
Response: instead of stomping about the house and being pissy at her, I worked on the carrot drawstring bag, or the carrot dildo cozy (while listening to AC/DC, Nirvana and Rob Zombie - how's that for "not your gramma's crochet"?). I finally got the open end big enough for the flange, and I found some ideas online for how to do some greenery at the top. Because of the flange, the opening is huge compared to the body and tip of the bag, so I think doing an actual drawstring won't be the best way to go. I made a separate, flat top for the bag and attached about 1/3 of it to the bag. I'm going to put the greenery on top, and then attach one or two buttons and button loops for closing it the rest of the way. I'll see how that works before doing much more on the chile pepper bag. I think I know what I want for a button, and I might be able to find it and have the carrot bag done before Wicked Womyn next weekend. If it works out, I'll take the chili pepper bag I started and the green for a pickle to work on up there during workshops and downtime.
