After the Vendor Fair

Oct 23, 2005 15:10

I haven't counted out the money yet (heck, it's barely 3pm, and I only got up at noon), but I did accomplish all my goals for the Naughty Knitting & Kinky Crochet Fiber Arts Fundraiser. At least 5 people donated items by the day of the Vendor Fair (including two people who got family members to contribute!), and several items sold. I have a promise of sale for That Damn Blanket too, in the next week or two. It's a big enough sale that I'll bother, but I won't worry about trying to sell anything else. It's all going to the OML titleholders. I also got lots of attention to the fundraiser in terms of doing better next year. I've met several people who may be interested in donating items next year, and lots of exposure for people buying next year. The boas were a big hit - didn't sell all of them, but we had a good time demonstrating what all you can use them for (turns out there's a range of things they're fun for, and it led to lots of kisses with pretty girls!). I even saw one woman wearing hers to the play party afterwards - how flattering :)

Thank you to everyone who donated items, and here's to next year!

**UPDATE**

I counted out the money, and I made $150 for Camp Starlight! Not bad for crappy marketing and not much on the table. Okay folks, we're aiming for twice that next year :)
