Who are the people in your neighborhood

About ten minutes ago, several emergency vehicles zipped by. Judging from the number of sirens and siren patterns, I'm guessing at least four cops, two fire engines, and an ambulance. I've since heard three more cops and maybe another ambulance go by, and there's at least three helicopters in the air. Kind of unusual for mid-May. Heck, even if it were summer, it would be unusual just because it's Wednesday, not the weekend. Maybe I'll check out the news tonight to find out what happened.

ETA: It's almost an hour later, and I've heard probably three *more* cop cars go by. It also just occurred to me that the helicopters are gone. Either LifeFlight has come and gone, or the news copters got bored/got their footage early.

ETA #2: The 11:00 news said it was a multiple vehicle crash, involving a pregnant lady. They had to remove a large section of the car with jaws of life to get her out, then sent her off on LifeFlight. As the cars impacted, they also managed to bust a fire hydrant clean off its base and knocked down a power pole. That's as much as I can find on the news website at the moment too.
