Hey Everybody!
Just wanted to let everybody know that I am safe.
As you no doubt may have heard the KHK Battle Group was forced to spend Thanksgiving in the South China Sea. It was all good though we had Turkey, Ham, Stuffing, Gravy and all the trimmings of a great holiday meal.
I made rate here on the ship which means I get to wear an insigna on my collar that gives me authority over people in my rate that do not have it. Yay!
We are finally back in Yokosuka. We are going to be in port for a while and then finally we are going to be coming to the states to Decom this old Bird.
I should be back stateside sometime during the middle of next year so I will get to see everybody then.
If anybody is going to be in the Pacific Northwest around the middle of next year, take a weekend trip up to Bremerton Washington. I will show you the ship that I will have spent the last three years of my life living and working on.
If not that is cool too.
I hope that everybody is having a wonderful time back in the states, and I am sure that I will get to see all of you soon.
