The running so far has been going muy bueno. Although we missed last week's run b/c we went to Tahoe, I think we are in tip top shape. Well, thats what i keep telling myself, haha. I just keep thinking about the days when we will have to run 10-15 miles!! Thats crazyness!!!! What are you suppose to do? Talk about? I'm sure it wont be that bad b/c our pace group consist of really cool peoples, so i'm sure there will be plenty of conversation topics we will encounter.
I got these awesome shoes just for the marathon!
The bottom half of the shoes consist solely of air!!... I've never really been a fan of Nike's, yet these seems to be pretty good. When i'm running, i feel like i'm running with socks. They're great.
Aside from preparing for the runs during the week, Iam extremely nervous about the fundraising. I dont want this to be the only factor getting in the way of me running. I have my webpage up, but it hasnt seemed to be a hit.. at all!! I have been drafting some letters to send but they need to be modified a tad as well because not everyone can have the same letter. And i also need to find some angle to inform people that all donations are a TAX WRITE OFF!!! It's giving away, free money! (money you will eventually get back!) But, if anybody has any ideas, please let me know!!! (pam- i know you ran one year, yes? What did you do?????)
-----------------------------------------------------------------
So this past weekend was my birthday! Yep, one more more y'all, and my mother gave me face cream for "Aging skin" for my birthday! yea, you would have imaged my face once i opened my gift. It was so surprising, that i actually asked her if it was practical joke! It wasn't!
But V and I went snowboarding in Tahoe. We went to the Gondola @ Heavenly. WOW!! It was so so beautiful and we had a great time. We also gambled, and i LOST $40 on Roulette (boo!) but it was entertaining b/c we would get drinks on the house since we playing tables. If i would ofve known this years ago, I would have been gambling a while ago. All you gotta do it tip the waitress, so i guess you drinks ended up costing $1 a drink. Although Mr. V wasn't too fond of snowboarding. He says there's a reason minorities dont participate in winter sports! We met an african dude on the summit who was snowboarding for the first time, and he felt the same way! He just could not get the hang of skiing. And the athlete i am (Ha!) i was pretty good. For it being my 2nd time, I was flying past V and other peoples. GRANTED, it was on the bunny slopes, BUT NONETHELESS i was flying!!
GOod times, GoOD times!
